1. Copy the post, not the profile
In TikTok, open the video you have permission to save. Use its Share menu and choose Copy link. A creator’s profile link or a search page will not identify the particular video you want.
If you receive a short vm.tiktok.com or vt.tiktok.com address, keep the whole address. You do not need to remove its short-link code. Our link guide shows the difference between a post URL and an unsupported page.
2. Request the available video
Open the TikSave video downloader in Safari and paste the link. If the Paste button cannot access the clipboard, touch and hold the field and use your phone’s Paste action instead. Submit once and wait for the result.
When a video option appears, check that the title and preview match the intended post before choosing Download video. Confirm the browser download if prompted. A file opening in a browser tab and a file being saved to your device are different actions.
3. Find the file you saved
In Safari, use the Downloads button near the search field to check the transfer. You can also open Files > Browse > iCloud Drive > Downloads. The folder depends on your Safari download setting. See our guide to finding downloaded TikTok files.
A saved file may remain in Files rather than appear automatically in Photos. Use the file’s available share actions if you want to move it to another compatible app.
If the result is an error
Open the original post again. If it was removed, made private or restricted, retrying the same address will not make a file available. For a temporary service error, wait briefly and try once more. If only one format fails, another available format may still work.
A request that returns a file is not a promise of a particular resolution. Source quality and the formats supplied upstream determine the options shown.
