Recognize a supported format

These are illustrative formats, not links to demo downloads:

  • https://www.tiktok.com/@creator/video/1234567890123456789 - one video post.
  • https://www.tiktok.com/@creator/photo/1234567890123456789 - one photo or carousel post.
  • https://vm.tiktok.com/SHARECODE/ or https://vt.tiktok.com/SHARECODE/ - a TikTok short share link.
  • https://www.tiktok.com/t/SHARECODE/ - another share-link format.
  • https://m.tiktok.com/v/1234567890123456789.html - a legacy mobile video format.

The numbers and SHARECODE above are placeholders. Copy the actual address from the post you want to save.

Copy the link from the post

Open the individual video or photo post in TikTok and choose Share, then Copy link. Paste the whole URL into the matching video, audio or photo downloader.

Do not paste a block of shared text around the link, a bare numeric ID or the title of a sound. The input expects a URL. Normal tracking parameters after a real post address do not need to be removed manually.

What is not supported

Profiles, search pages, hashtag pages, links to unrelated platforms and local files do not identify a supported TikTok post. A link pointing to another domain is rejected even if “tiktok.com” appears inside its path or query.

A supported URL can still point to content that is private, deleted or unavailable. TikSave does not request your account details and does not unlock restricted posts.

When a new short link fails

Open the short link in your browser to check that it leads to the intended public post. If it does, copy the address again from the post. Wait briefly before retrying rather than sending repeated requests.

If a valid public link keeps failing, note the displayed error and consult the troubleshooting guide. Browser paste permissions and upstream file availability are separate issues from the format of the address.
